Because Barrera is better than Tureano Johnson. There is no hypocrisy there. Just forming opinions from actually watching boxing instead of reading rankings.

Good now add Dmitry Mikhaylenko vs Mikael Zewski /Curtis "Showtime" Stevens vs Omar Chavez make it a tripleheader

            Ward just tweeted

"Premature information being leaked to the media. I don't know who my next opponent is for my next fight. I have no contract."

over 20 pages...over 200 replies!!...Ward is irrelevant doe ....I guess that was just Lil G fanboy talk....anyway, the King will return in a hot minute and show the world WHY most KNOWLEDGEABLE boxing heads STILL rank him P4P #1 even though he's been living that shelf life....SOG is a special breed....I love watching him take souls....lets go champ!!!

Good fight, Barrera seems solid, I looked up the fight where he got dropped vs Campbell on dailymotion, it was just a balance thing more than anything so his chin seems fine and his speed, power and movement look good. I didn't notice anything in particular that makes me think he'd beat Ward but he fights well enough to be top 10 in the division, probably better than most of the guys Kovalev and Stevenson have fought.

no, we really we don't. haha

i probably follow ward's career closer than anybody on this forum. he's not the most accomplished and able fighter on the planet right now. he can get back there, but he's not at the top right now. he's been too inactive, and his recent opponent [smith] wasn't enough to get him abck to where he was in the rankings.

you can't rank ward above gonzalez and kovalev in the advent of mayweather's retirement. they've just built up more steam in the last two years. personally, i don't have him ranked over crawford, golovkin, either.

i thought rigondeaux looked old [and ridiculously boring] in his last fight, so i don't have any issues with people even flat out removing him from their lists.

I hate the way Ward fights, and definitely don't like when he gets away with a lot of dirty stuff.. but he's actually severely underrated in the power department. He doesn't have a lot of KOs, but a lot of the guys he's fought were not chinny at all.

For example look up some of the hits he landed on Froch - those were not slaps by any means. He also stopped Smith (who sucks, but still), who lasted the distance against the supposed power puncher Abraham TWICE.

Very interested in seeing how Ward fares at 175. Barrera should be a great first test. If he passes it, he should take Pascal next. Then if he beats Kovalev, that would an extremely solid resume at LHW in just a year.

Personally, I think there's a 30% chance he loses vs Barrera, 15% chance he loses vs. Pascal and a 60% chance he loses vs. Kovalev.

The same ones that were using that line are suddenly switching up their tone.

                      EXACTLY !

Barrera > most of Hypekins opponents.

Hypekins fans proudly refer to Stevens as a top-10 opponent
