How much do you think the Estrada fight is worth? Is $1M crazy talk?

I know he's been getting $200k-$250k as a co-main fighter & many feel like he's being underpaid there as well. He's arguably the best fighter in the sport. Estrada is the biggest fight to make in his division & that would be a fight that stands on its own. If that isn't worth $1M I assume no fight is worth $1M at 112.

Decent at best. Viloria had nothing left and was only on a winning streak since he was facing no hopers. Even so he struggled against one of his mediocre opponents up until he KO'd him in the mid rounds. That just went to show how far down Viloria had slipped. I'm a massive Viloria fan from years back, but I predicted the Ko in the later rounds. I knew he would fade and Roman's engine would run him over. Also, Viloria's most recent loss was at the hands of.. You guessed it, Estrada himself .

As a RG fan id be gutted as you if he fought Segura. I liked the Viloria fight, Brian was a big name and could still jave had something left, but after two older guys in Sosa and Viloria putting Gonzalez in woth another oldguy is pointless. HBO are playing on the fact that fans dont follow the weightclass and dont really know who he is fighting and at what stage of their career.

What worries me most about the Estrada fight taking place is that HBO have not done anything to build interest in the fight. They havent got Estrada on the network, they dont talk about him as RG's best opponent and IIRC they havent talked about the great first fight they had.
Fat Dan Flagging it down is one thing, but this is coming from Roman himself. He made this declaration himself.

honestly the impression i get from roman is that he considers it settled business and he's not interested any more. i'll be disappointed if he ditches flyweight without a single unification, unless he's really having trouble making weight. i don't think he'll be as formidable at 115 though

i can see why HBO want the segura fight since he's one of the few flyweights with some name value, but it's just pointless at this stage. mcwilliams or ioka should be next. or even bring nietes up from 108

Estrada and RG was a good fight but for me Roman won, I don't know why you all want to see Estrada get beat again.

I prefer RG to move up than rematch estrada.

If it is made, good. we all know that would be a good fight, but still I favor RG in that fight.

I believe it's worth that and more, but realistically it would be difficult to achieve since there seems to be absolutely no push from HBO towards Estrada. No buzz, no interest and no mention of the man. Odd, considering the fact that they mentioned Naoya Inoue, a fighter one division above Roman's, yet disregarded the only unified champion at 112 whom gave Roman the closest fight he has had in years.

Estrada was young and had been pulled down a weight class and still gave a great account of himself. Theres plenty of reason for a rematch to happen

They both will want to get paid and this fight is no where near that right now. Casuals who, run this sport, have no idea who either fighter is and for the price tag they will demand this will need to be PPV undercard or main event and i dont think they can pull it off.

OR....Gonzalez is afraid and is ducking

We want to see it because if you followed their careers you would realize how much more even the rematch would be at 112. Also, it's a freaking unification for several belts . Seriously, does that not interest you even a bit? The WBO, WBA and WBC as well as the Ring belts all on the line in a fight between the lower weights top, elite fighters... Come on, seriously?

Yeah, I hope this fight is tossed out. Regardless, with 2 months to go... I seriously doubt he could find a worthy replacement.

Absolutely right but HBO isn't going to risk their investment like that. I firmly believe they had a huge part in killing a Ward/ggg fight.
