um stevnson is the number 1 175 and lineal champ..but kovalev is p4p number 2 and he is ranked under him..so u have not merit..

wilder would have too many big wins and too many ko's to not be on there..wlad has to go off bc his performance was horrible..and he's been ko'd a few times prior...and u cant put fury on there just for one win..
and lets be honest povetkin has been on a more impressive streak of destruction than fury and klit...

like is said wilder ko'd scott with a left hook to the temple..scott gets up to be a top 10 hw in tony thompson, wilder took stivernes title and stiverne was a number 3 rated hw, povetkin should be the number 2 hw...klit should drop many levels after that showing..he is no good and heartless, on top of that duhap has one of the upsets of the year and wilder ko'd him...

i'f he stops or drops povetkin and goes on to win.he's done something most dont do again..he'd be in mhy p4p list..lets just say this a win over povetkin is a better than a win over geale, willie monroe, and rubio

The ******ity of some people is unbelievable. Wilder top-5 P4P with a win over Povetkin? You are insane. If he beat him right now, he'd be number 3 behind Fury and Klitchko. If Fury were to beat Klitschko first, that would make Wilder #2.

That anyone would even suggest such a ridiculous thing as Wilder becoming p4p top 5 by beating Wilder is a display of such ignorance and idiocy that it boggles the mind.

Maybe not top 5, but top 10 for sure. Some people just don't want to give Wilder any credit. Which is funny because it's usually punchers who get hyped to oblivion.

But one thing is for certain, this will not take place in Russia where they will rob Wilder. It will take place the USA and that is not negotiable.
Why would they rob Wilder in Russia? I can't recall seeing any bad decisions in Russia, can you?

If the fight is staged in Russia, Wilder is guaranteed a ridiculously generous paycheck.

Isn't Povetkin Russian? The crowd influence might be enough to sway the judges. You're right about the paycheck though, this Russian promoter is supposedly a "billionaire". At least that's what been said in this thread. I still think Haymon will do everything in his power to win a purse bid if it goes to one. He definitely doesn't want Wilder to travel.

Wilder should go where the money is. If he's gonna get paid handsomely in Russia then he should defend his title there against Povetkin. Also, if Wilder and his team are worried about impartial judging then they should import in some impartial judges.

Your argument about the crowd swaying the judges is invalid. If Wilder defends on his home turf, won't the crowd be in his support? Does that give Povetkin a disadvantage? The answer to that is: hire some quality judges who won't be swayed by the crowd noise.

Well if he knocks out Povetkin (lol) then there won't be an issue with robbery.

Nothing is guaranteed, I certainly think Wilder has what it takes to knock him out. However, that's not to say Povetkin survives the onslaught and makes it to the end.

Wilder should be willing to fight Povetkin in his literal backyard if this fight gets them both paid as much a I suspect. Plus its not likely this is going to a decision anyway. Wilder gots 34 KO's in 35 fights & Povetkin has KO'd 6 of his last 7 guys who almost all of which were of higher caliber than those 34 guys Wilder KO'd. The clear bet here is that the loser is sleeping when this fight ends.

And least we forget Ryabinsky paid out the ass for the Povetkin vs Klitschko fight & Povetkin only got 1 round on each judges card so idk about a robbery. You'd think if he could buy the fight he could at least buy one judge or worst case 2 rounds. Being robbed seems as likely or unlikely as anywhere else or certainly between the US & Russia that appears to be the case.

wat makes u think wilder wont be? he's got big fight experience and world/semiworld level experience now and he is highly confident his power from a safe distance..i really think him loosing to povetkin should be looked at as a upset and povetkin should surpase fury as the best hw if the performance is impressive..
