If I read correctly he wanted $3-5 mil. If they do 300k at $49.95, Jacobs can easily make $3-5 mil.
The problem isn't Jacobs purse request but that GGG's purse is made by putting him in with no hopers that do not command a lot. The 80/20 and 90/10 splits are crazy.
He nor HBO can expect everyone to take less just because they prey on the financially weak and desperate. For a Jacobs fight it might have to be 55/45.

And please just stop with trying to lay this on GGG. It is the mother****ers fault who asks for a number that simply will never happen. If this fight gets ordered and Danny turns down the fight while being offered anything in the 2 million neighborhood. He is a *****, just like BJS.

These people are in it it to get paid and after Lemieux, you really think the money people are going to risk that kind of money on the hopes this fight doubles what GGG's last PPV did?

Big Dunn is playing himself in this thread. Trying to say 200k PPV will generate $10mil gross and that will be enough to make GGG/Jacobs happens. He gets called out on that bull crap, then moves the goal posts back towards 300k PPV generating 15mil.
Beyond any of that Jacobs hype that Dunn is putting out there...Jacobs has skills but he's no seller. No one outside of hardcore boxing fans know who he is. Boxing is a niche sport in America, 21st century. Dunn on here talking about Danny Jacobs is the big name that GGG needs on his resume. I guess the definition of "big name" has changed in the 21st century. This Brooklyn fighter with the great comeback story headlined in his hometown and couldn't even get the place half full. C'mon.
GGG/Jacobs would sell about the same as GGG/Lemieux. Which means the fight grosses a comparable amount....Unless Haymon decides to distort the market again and dish out money. PBC fighters are grossly overpaid in the context of their drawing power and notoriety. How many empty coliseums have we seen on a PBC prime time event? Paying a guy 1million when he puts no asses in seats LOL c'mon son. Big Dunn go sit down somewhere. Or, as Craig and Smokey said in the movie "Friday"

But the real question at hand is does GGG have the chin to take what he dishes and can he stand up to Jacobs if he gets caught flush?
I think golovkin wins by tko.
but I also think jacobs is the middleweight with the best chance.
now it's a couple of guys at 154 who I think could pose problems for gennady.
lara
Andrade
Come to mind

This fight will be good if it ever happens but GGG will break Jacobs down and stop him. I do want to see how well GGG takes a Jacobs punch but he has taken punches from Rosado, Stevens, Macklin, Murray, Lemieux, Geale and Monroe and not been fazed at all really.

If it does happen, Jacobs needs a fight before. His last twol fights have lasted 3 rounds and GGG's last two, a total of what 14 I believe.

BYE FELICIAOriginally posted by OnePunch View Postno, thats only $5 mil after the cable distributors take their cut. Quit trying to magically make money appear out of thin air.Originally posted by The Big Dunn View PostThis is a good post. If Jacob/GGG can't happen, This appears to be the other option for GGG. Get lowballed or come in at 155.
The last PPV did 150k. If HBO markets it better, uses Danny's history to sell, maybe they double that.
If they do 200k at $49.95 that's $10 mil. Could be possible.
