GGG would beat Jacobs easier than he beat anyone else.

So many hard fights are there all set for GGG to have in 2016, If he is to fight three times imagine if its BJS, Jacobs and Canelo...
I don't care what you say I know the value of fighters but IF he beat all of those three guys in a year just wow...nothing left to say other than that, the world is Golovkin oyster he is in a fantastic position if he can capitalize on it.

If that's the case why even make 95% of GGG's fights in the last 3 years in the first place?

Golovkin gets absolutely nothing by fighting Daniel Jacobs. Just because he offered BJS 6million(not confirmed), does not mean Jacobs is worth 3m. Some reasons if it is too hard to understand why.
*BJS has just beaten Andy Lee and a hot name right now. The fight will be easier to sell as well because it is an unification fight. Jacobs-Quillin did not even get 500k viewers in free tv(If I'm not mistaken about the numbers)
*Just because Jacobs is overpaid, does not mean he can gather crowds as stated above. If he is to be paid 3m, the fight has to go ppv. It will likely be similar to the Lemieux ppv.
*BJS has a belt. Getting the belt means the fight against Canelo will decide the undisputed champ. This gives the september fight, the potential to break 700-800k ppv buys considering the marketability. And even if Canelo vacates the belt, GGG gets all of the belts so it is a win for him regardless as his self proclaimed goal is to unify the belts but I'm sure Canelo won't say no to all the sweet belts GGG will hold.

Jacobs understands he has more value so he is asking for a bigger piece of the total pie. Sergio and fighters in the past may not have been as informed and settled for an amount lower than they could've negotiated.
Stop with the bs Bradley key or whatever. Manny is a huge star and fighting him is what fighters make. How much did Rios made u think fighting Manny? HE was guaranteed 4 mill... U think that Jacobs fighting GGG on PPV, he should be guaranteed 5 millions? Come on man lol
Yes GGG needs a good opponent, but Jacobs is pricing himself out if he really ask 5 mill for this fight...

Again, BJS was offered 6 mil so why can't Jacobs get at least 3?
Jacobs is ranked higher than BJS and has the better single victory. And why would Jacobs bend backwards to get a fight with GGG who is supposedly the most "ducked" fighter in boxing? Again, Jacobs is asking for less than what was offered to BJS so I'm not sure why you're saying Jacobs is "pricing himself out"?
Why in the world would people want to see GGG vs Taureno Johnson instead of Jacobs when Jacobs is the current WBA middleweight champ and TJ is a mandatory. Either way, GGG would keep a belt if he were to win.
Danny Jacobs' WBA belt means dog **** beyond the fact that he is the first guy in the WBA rankings to get crack at the actual factual WBA middleweight champion, GGG. If, the WBA was to ever show some desire at actually having one legit champion and not secondary and tertiary title holders.
I want to see GGG/TJ because it keeps the IBF in line to be contested in Sept (Canelo/GGG). IBF will strip GGG if he doesn't do his mandatory defense (see Fury) with the caveat that unifications ***** mandatory defenses. That's where Billy Joe (and his WBO belt) comes into play. Most of us want to see a fight for the undisputed middleweight championship. It won't be "undisputed" if someone else not Canelo/GGG is holding the WBO strap and/or GGG gets stripped by the IBF.

If GGG has been the consensus MW champion for the last 3 years, why does it matter if he gets stripped for not fighting Taureno Johnson anyway?
I don't think you understand that BJS is scared of GGG and won't fight him for at least another 18 months and Canelo-GGG are having trouble finding common ground on the weight issues.Last edited by Chollo Vista; 01-04-2016, 05:21 PM.
