this is a prime example of why guys like floyd/ward never fight good opponents. they have fanboys who think the 23rd ranked guy in the division is a big fight. they don't need to do anything else if this satisfies them.

I don't think Barrera is bad and is a pretty good fight at LHW... but Kev is just a straight fucking ****** for saying that, but it's just because he hates Golovkin so much, so it's easy to see why he'd say that

You know, there's really only 2 fights that he could fight that wouldn't be ****** fights. He's signed to fight one of them (Ward) and the other one likely won't happen due to boxing politics (Stevenson).

The first Pascal fight was fun, and a test. To get him to agree to the fight in the first place, he had to accept a rematch clause. Pascal exercised it. He's not getting either of the other 2 fights until late spring (at the earliest) so let him get the rematch out of the way now. It'll probably be a fun fight.

If true, this should be a legit preparation fight for Kov. Barrera is experienced, well ranked and a true lhw. Hell, he may be ever a bit of a cruiserweight.

I'd watch this. Expect Ward to dance to ud12, but should be competitive.
