It's so painful to watch a hero like Roy, destroy his legacy.

Lol.I don't even care anymore. He's a grown man. It's pure arrogance. He doesn't need the money he doesn't need the attention. But he keeps going. Good for him at this point.

Pretty obvious Roy wasn't in shape.

Roy's one of those kind of guys you have to carry off stage, humiliation and embarrassment aren't enough to deter him. I don't know what to say other than that he seems absolutely insane....

I'm not one that says that a legendary fighter can ruin his legacy. We hear that phrase thrown around all the time and I don't buy it the vast majority of the time.

There are exceptions though. Watching Duran fight into his 40's was hard. Watching Larry Holmes fight way past his prime was also tough. Watching Roy do this at 46 years old is a crime.

This is a young man's game, always will be. Just because you have freaks of nature like Hopkins, doesn't mean we can all do it. The problem with Roy is, he's not a great boxer, never was. He was a physical phenom who was faster, stronger, quicker and had the reflexes of a cat in his prime.

So he could KO you with his hands behind his back, he could lead with an uppercut from distance, he could keep his lead hand down and chin out baiting you. Things you are never supposed to do, but he did. That's what made him fun to watch, that's what made him special.

When those physical attributes waned though, he was KO'd. He isn't classically trained as a boxer, he doesn't have the fundamentals that Hopkins has, or Oscar had that carried them past their prime and sheer skill beat opponents.

I don't know if he needs money, I don't know what his issue is but he has to know that his time is over. He is going to suffer brain damage if he continues, and there's no need for it. Ego, money, pride.....I don't know what it is, but the people closest to him need to tell him to stop.

Not true he was trained in all aspects of boxing by his father Roy Jones Sr. He would of never made it to the Olympics if he couldn't box. Jones has showed numerous time he could outbox people. As RJJ got older he created his own style that worked for him but once the weight drop he slowed down and became more hittable due to the style he created. He never really adjusted his style when he slowed down. In some fights he would do the peak-boo defense and kept his hands up like against Tito but he's not consistent. Then his next fight he would revert back to his old tricks. Which everybody knows by now which is why he got knocked out Green, Enzo and Johnson etc.

Just a Rookie mistake. Maybe after Roy has been pro for a little longer he will realize that training is priority #1, even when you get older and your speed, skills and reflexes continue to just get better and better the older you get and the less you train. Just a learning experience.
