    I'd say 99.99% of us here are haters. And I am included of course.

    Some people hate fighters for idiotic reasons (their country, race, religion, political views, looks, ***ual orientation or gender identity). But others such as me, hate them purely because of their boxing style. I totally hate the super-defensive styles and even more so, when this includes cheating like excessively holding, sucker punching, pushing, using elbows illegally, etc.

    It's needless to mention the best examples for what I hate, but two of them stand out: Mayweather Jr. and Andre Ward. To a less degree there's the likes of Rigondeaux and Lara. It gets worse when any of these guys face top competition. Needless to say that I hate the whole Cuban boxing style. Excessive and boring defense, pot-shot for points. Mayweather learned this style to the letter and added trickery and referree complacency, to "perfect it". Sad news for boxing IMO, because before Floyd, styles like De la Hoya's (who is the one who catapulted Floyd into fame and fortune) were the predominant style in boxing.

    There have always been boxers that can actually box and brawl at the same time. The ones that can be brave, exchange, box intelligently but always entertaining the audience, but they can also have excellent defense without using any trickery and referee's complacency.

    But people that hate Canelo for being Mexican, or for being white and red-headed, or Cotto for being Puerto Rican, or Pacquiao for being Asian or Mayweather Jr. for being African American or Algieri for looking like a prototype white-collar white Caucasian (both Canelo and Algieri look more suitable to be Hollywood celebrities than boxers, hence the hatred from people who don't like good-looking people to be in such a rough sport, the exact same happened with De La Hoya in his time).

    Bottom like, one has to hate the ones who hate others for the wrong reasons. Hence, probably we all here are haters to some degree.

          Here is the quote.

          //krikya360.com/wbc-prez-...#ixzz3tQShJkuc

          "The WBC, for two years, participated the process for the WBC to make Cotto-Canelo in many ways - including helping step-aside agreement reached with Marco Antonio Rubio so Cotto could fight Martinez. So that same rule that applied and helped him become champion, is being questioned by himself."

          "He is the only who decided not to abide by the WBC's rules, regulations and conditions. He is the one who decided to abandon the title. We did not take any action. We gave him time, flexibility. We extended the deadline four times. I communicated many, many times with him, with his promoter, with Canelo on this subject. It is all on record. I just feel very, very sad because losing a champion is very uncommo

          Please comprehend what your are reading, and quoting. It is not the same rule, You are confusing two different rules. Per WBC rules, a champion from a different sanctioning body cannot become a mandatory to the WBC title, it is the same rule they used to keep Klitschko from challenging for the WBC heavyweight title. GGG fighting Rubio and becoming the Mandatory challenger to the WBC belt, is not the same as Cotto moving up in weight and being allowed to challenge for the WBC belt. Especially because, per WBC rules, if a fighter is ranked by the WBC in a different weight class, the WBC may allow the fighter to maintain his ranking with the WBC when moving to a new weight class. Cotto was ranked with the WBC at 154, so the WBC allowed him to maintain his rank, which then meant he could challenge. Cotto never argued the step aside fee, he agreed to pay it, but refused to pay the sanctioning fee, and questioned the WBC's decision to break their own rules to make GGG the Mandatory challenger. WBC's response was directed at Cotto paying the step aside fee including the sanctioning fee, it was not directed toward Cotto's complaint of GGG being the mandatory.
