    I hope Wilder does win, but I think it's a pick'em fight.

It's absolutely a pick'em fight, but one which I think, in hindsight, many people are going to see as unfolding in a pretty inevitable manner, much like people think about the Lacy Calzaghe fight now. Wilder is still kind of unproven at world level and this fight will go a long way to showing us just what his true level is.

Yea, that's assuming he looks really good and wins though. That is in no way a given. We will see. It's an exciting fight.

It's a 50-50; Pov has the experience, am and pro, solid resume, sound fundamentals, durable, good chin, a strong fighter all round. Wilder youth, size, strength, athleticism, power. I voted Wilder by decision in another thread and this is because I think he has improved his jab greatly over the last couple years and will control Povetkin with it. Szpilka did well with Deontay before he was KO'd though and Povetkin is obviously better than the Polish fighter but Pov isn't that great against very big men, we saw it with Vlad and with Mariusz Wach to a degree. All this said, I hope Alexander wins.

Yup, good assessment. Can't wait for that fight.

Szpilka presented an entirely different set of problems for Wilder though, so I'm not sure how much can be drawn from that performance. Povetkin won't fight on the backfoot and try to make Wilder miss with feints and head movement, he'll come straight for him. That makes him both more dangerous and more hittable. If Wilder can keep him at bay with his jab then he has a great chance, and based on the Stiverne fight I think he can do just that, but he has to avoid getting into a tearup with Povs. That's my one fear with Wilder, that he'll hurt Povetkin at some point and go batshit crazy trying to get him out of there. He has to resist that temptation and keep his composure otherwise he's leaving himself open to getting KOed. He has the tools to win this from distance. No need to make things risky for himself.

I agree, Szpilka fight really has no bearing on what will happen with Povetkin. Povetkin is an elite fighter who is fundamentally sound, Szpilka was a brawler who had fought no real top opposition.

I was Krusher since you first saw me. Look at my username history you w@nker.
Haha, this f4gg0t has changed his username yet again, no doubt after getting constantly owned by myself.

First a Wlad fan, then a Kovalev fan, now a Ward fan. Pathetic.

Wtf? Owned by you? How? LOL. My name was never klitschko or klitschko related. I change my name because I can. It was Kovalev before and now Ward, what's wrong with that? Neither lost or anything. They're my favorite fighters too.

You better expect me to change it to bronze bomber(before povetkin), klitschko(before fury), and GGG(before Canelo)

You're always so salty when I'm involved is it because I call fury fat? Overrated? ******? And that he's retiring after the rematch like the coward he is?
