If we're honest, this all comes down to Wlad's mental condition. Wlad went 10mph and Fury went 11. Logic must dictate that if Fury was carrying some sort of greatness he wouldn't have just edged a guy who was doing nothing. He would have hurt him or got him out of there.

That said, after seeing Wlad look hesitant in the Jennings fight and worse against Fury, it's hard for me to say he'll be back in form. If it were one fight, sure. But with those two in a row it's clear that some part of Wlad's mind walked out the door in 2015 and guys don't usually come back from that. My only call in this rematch is that Wlad's mental condition dictates the outcome.

I just want a toe to toe slugfest. A violent exchange of savage punches. I want feet planted, full body into every hook. Both fighters giving and taking, slipping and countering, multiple knockdowns. An all out war where Wlad and Fury need to be pulled apart by both corners and security after every round because they just stay with their heads in each others chests slugging it out blow for blow like they didn't hear a thing. Is that too much to ask?

I hear ya!! If Wlad shows up gunshy or absurdly clinchy (Povetkin fight) again I hope Tyson takes his head. Ultimately, it's my wish that they are both healthy, Wlad returns as the guy who ate Pulev alive and Fury is on a level we've never seen from him. Then, let the best man win. I like Fury and want to see him do well but I also don't like seeing a long-time champs just wilt. Whoever loses, let him lose in a blaze of glory.

If you want toe to toe you've got the wrong boxers, neither Wlad nor Fury have demonstrated they can go toe to toe with the top opposition in a blazing gun battle, neither have the durability for it and Fury hasn't the power.

I'd say it is too much to ask, go watch someone like Provodnikov or Mansour fighters on that level. I appreciate Fury for being tactical he has somewhat picked up where Wlad left off winning in brutal efficiency as opposed to style.

I fail to see how Fury is considered exciting and Wlad is not. Folk talk of the clinching in the Povetkin fight, what of the clinching in the Chisora fight ? Admittedly the Povetkin fight was worse yet not much worse. Those fights are two of the worst I have ever seen in the division, the fight last November had stinker wrote all over it before it was even signed.

If Wlad shows up looking for the KO then I think he'll get it. My su****ion is that the fight has gone out of him though - I don't think it's coincidence that there seems to have been a marked drop in aggression in his last two fights since the birth of his daughter - fatherhood can just change a guy.

I think if Wlad goes for the KO, he will get countered and bloodied until his face falls off or they stop the fight, or Scott.Weiland. throws a towel into the ring from his seat.

Wlad just lost his titles and wants them back. He has a lot to prove here, it's his responsibility to come forward, to press, to make it ugly. To brawl. To stay in Fury's chest. To force a fight.

Correct assessment. It's a cliché but Vladimir has to dig deep late in his career and use his vast experience to show the difference; then he should be able to do the job on the night. Fury isn't special; Vlad has to show his class a final time.
