Comments Thread For: Klitschko To Exercise Option For Fury Rematc

After his recent defeat against Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko decided to draw the contractual option for a rematch.

"I was really frustrated directly after the fight but after some short nights I now know that I want to show that I am much better than my performance on Saturday. I couldn’t show my full potential at any time. This is what I want to change in the rematch – and I will. Failure is not an option.” [Click Here To Read More]

      Fuck.

Well, now we pray Fury wins this time so Fury-Wilder can happen.

Ah well. I guess I'll just have to watch my man give Wladimir another schooling before he deals with that American halfwit.

This isn't going to do Wladimir's legacy any good at all, but i salute him for having the balls to try instead of just retiring.

wladimir does not need money. when you've been on top for such a long time there's going to be a tendency to feel liek the first guy who beat you was a fluke.

it wasn't a fluke. wladimir couldn't pull the trigger on his right hand. he was pawing and giving looks with the jab to try and set up f#cking clinches! clinches! on a guy with longer arms and a height advantage!

it's done, wladimir. it's done. i'm envisiioning the HW championship switching hands regularly. i think wilder's a bad stle for fury. i think povetkin's a bad style for wilder. i'm not sold on joshua yet, but he's certainly got enough power, and will be willing to throw it.

            schooling

is that what they're calling a fight where you can count the clean punches on one hand?

There's not much he can do differently besides throw more and hope he lands a punch that puts Fury out. That's certainly possible but not likely, and it carries a much higher risk that Wlad gets stopped. He's not suddenly going to learn how to stalk a fighter and hunt them down or how to fight inside.

I'm gald he's taking the rematch. The fight ****** of course, but i don't want to see a guy who's been champion so long just give up his title in such a fashion.

That said, i don't know what he does differently in a rematch. He knows Fury can beat him on points now, so he will have to open up more and earlier..something he doesn't like to do.

Warning...injury excuse for loss countdown has begun. My money is on either pulled hamstring or bad back.

It would be a huge fight in the UK. Everybody over here is talking about Fury now. A rematch between he and Wlad would sell out Wembley stadium.
