it's such an odd look to see grown men act this way.

Man I don't know if I should believe this. I think it hits 1 mil. But if it does not you can blame 4 things.
UFC- had a PPV fight the week before
GGG vs Lemiux - a fight that should have never been on PPV. Oscar ****ed that up.
People saving money for Black Firday.
Floyd! Berto vs Floyd. It may have ruined the PPV buys for everyone for about 4 years. That fight should have been on NBC not PPV. I am a sucker for boxing to i bought all of them.

I know a certain writer reported a 900,000 PPV buy figure, the same reporter that wrote that GGG - Lemieux broke 150,000 buys, when in fact that fight in actuality did 97,000 buys. Who is feeding the writer tainted info, but lots of great food!!!"
cant wait for the hate squad to show up and discredit these numbers.
but but but but 97k doe
(FYI, I still believe the 900k+ number, but this still is going to be alot of fun)

Glazer's numbers have Canelo outselling GGG by over 500k, about 7x as much as GGG.
I don't see how GGG is in a position to reject 155 and expect to get a big PPV fight.
were at least 5x as much as Golovkin/Lemieux, not including Cotto's PPV share and higher marketing costs.
Canelo has had a lot of prior PPV exposure, including Floyd. His mainstream popularity is not likely to explode all of a sudden. This was Golovkin's first PPV. Nobody can predict what kind of effect it had on his popularity - it can increase slightly or jump to Canelo/Cotto levels immediately.
Canelo is not Floyd. His purse vs. Cotto was reported as between 5m-6.5m, which is the highest of his career. Golovkin's was 2m vs. Lemieux. If Canelo insists on being A-side and asks for 75-25, Golovkin's gonna make the same amount of money vs. Canelo that he's been making recently, possibly slightly more. Canelo is more popular, but he's NOT a huge payday. Floyd is, and Froch probably would be in UK.
Golovkin's risking 3 belts vs. 1.
