Comments Thread For: Omar Figueroa Expects To Be Stronger For Demarco

WESLACO, TX - Undefeated boxer Omar "El Panterita" Figueroa (25-0-1, 16 KOs) is going to close out his year with a ring return that will send him into 2016 as both a star in the sport, but also a new threat in the 140-pound division.

Figueroa headlines Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC in primetime on Saturday, December 12. PBC on NBC will air live at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT from San Antonio's AT&T Center when Figueroa battles former world champion Antonio DeMarco (31-5-1, 23 KOs). [Click Here To Read More]

Ricky Burns beat Omar Figueroa soundly... It was a good performance by the 2-division World Champion and a clear win

Put Figueroa with someone who has mid to top tier talent, and all the holes in his game show tremendously. He shouldn't be an undefeated fighter. He can punch, but he can be out boxes by many fighters.

I don't know why they're even doing this fight. Demarco retired before and after his last fight and here he is again. It should be awful.

Isn't it interesting how most things about PBC are fluff? Even this article is a fluff piece. And this coming from a Figueroa fan. I don't know if he beat Burns or not. It was definitely a close fight. And how far Omar goes from here is questionable. May give him another fight or two before judging, but his performance lately is not so great.

Pantera reminds me alot of a young Barrera, he needs to modify his boxing style just like Barrera did.

What a farce this fight it. Put Figueroa in with somebody with a pulse please.

But he still has those terribly brittle hands + Tony is way down the back side of the hill..
