If you think a bald head is an "extreme haircut" there's something wrong with you. I was expecting the guy to be in some sort of elaborate and intricate wig or weave arrangement but a bald head is basically the standard boxers haircut.

Receding hairline probably. Either way, its only extreme because guys usually gradually go for the bald look and pair it up with the compensation beard.
