How is he a light heavy weight? Because there's a fat dude at 220 lbs., does that make him a heavyweight? Can he fight a true heavy weight, who is solid muscle? Canelo would be small at 168, even, let alone 175.
The would be short of those weights. Not "small". He would be wider than most of those guys.
The thread starter is an idiot. If Canelo cant hang with the big boys, then he can just unbuckle that belt and hand it over to his papi GGG. Then he can fight all the fights he wants in his 155, 156, 157, 157.5, 158, 158.75, 159.25, or whatever other absurd "divisions" he feels "comfortable" at.
My god it must be absolutely humiliating to be a Canelo fan this week......
This should be nominated for Worst Thread of All Time. The rationalizing in the OP does nothing to justify the statement that Canelo is not a middleweight. Especially considering Canelo's previous 5 fights have been at 155. I know OP, I know, it's common for non-title fights to have a 1 pound allowance, but that is for guys new to the pro game. Once they go over 10-15 fights, it's all exact weights.
Canelo is a natural middleweight and he has nowhere to run from Golovkin. He can't go down, he can't go up. He's basically on death row just awaiting his number to come up.
Some of you guys are funny, if GGG stays at 160 they will eventually fight... Nothing new, all big fights Allways take a while to make, that would be ****** for him to move up to 160 and fight GGG and his first fight...
than canelo needs to hand over that wbc belt to golovkin.its a disgrace to keep defending it and the ring belt in catchweight fights its been going on far too long thanks to cotto's punk ass and now canelo's trying to do the same.

That's why he said that him and his team will talk and decide if he will move to 160 or not... I honestly don't think they were to concern with the belt as much as they were with Cotto... They wanted Cotto on his resume... But I do agree he should vacate and fight him when he's ready.
