if it is because cotto hasn't agreed to fight GGG if he wins, it doesn't make sense since canelo won't be fighting GGG either. de la hoya already said the fight needs marinating

Surely it's about the sanctioning fee.

Been hearing for a few days Cotto refused to pay it.

Not that I like to bring Mayweathers name up, but didn't he hold the 154 belt for a while and nothing was done?

            WBC are inconsistent.

            What is the reasoning?

Cotto doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fees, it's that simple...he doesn't give a **** about having the title.

LOL @ the haters getting excited over Cotto being stripped

Mad that Cotto ain't paying the sanctioning fee.
That makes alot of sense if you're Cotto. He's getting $15mill for this fight, why give away 5% ($750,000) for a title you plan on vacating?

As far as the title goes, it's served it's purpose for Miguel in promoting this fight and giving him leverage over Canelo during negotiations.

Good, when #KingCotto brutally KOs Canelito...they will NOT get a single $$$ of Cotto's purse!

                  *** THE WBC!!!

Cotto is a known opponent, is he not?

Doesn't really matter, either guy was gonna lose the belt by the 2nd week of December anyway.
