Maybe, but they might not be in the octagon.

Lets face reality, Rousey is starting to make so much money by doing things outside of the gym, not getting beat up, that she is starting to lose her drive and focus for the fight game.

Media kept gassing her up, this was bound to happen.

we could see the full potential of rousey here, we need to be honest, she's smart and talented, just got carried too much from her own hype, we'll see though how she will recover

She looked chubby, clumsy and like a drunk redneck going after her husbands side piece.

Holm looked strong, relaxed and in great shape, she was a class act.

For me, it would do more for the profile of MMA to promote a positive image of Holly Holm than Rousey. The sport needs to move away from the beer drinking morons that it is sometimes (wrongly) associated with.

To be honest, Ronda's trash talking is just cringe worthy, she sounds like a high school cheerleader on the very worst day of her menstrual cycle.

Thats nuts & revisionist history. Ronda turned pro in MMA in Mar. 2011, Holly turned pro in MMA in Mar. 2011.

And its notable Holm has amateur kickboxing bouts from as far back as 2001 including pro kicking experience after that. The trainer she's had for her entire career is mostly known as a MMA trainer. Plus I believe the gym she's trained at for 15 or so years has been one of the big MMA gyms in the world. Holly clearly has had more MMA training between her decade of high level boxing experience, her kickboxing resume which predates her boxing career & her actual MMA career which lines up with Ronda's with one of the most reputable MMA gyms in the world.

This is an interesting match-up . . One I think will never produce a competitive fight. I think who ever wins will be able to do so in dominant fashion. If Holly wins again it will be because her striking is too much for Ronda. If Ronda is to win it's because her grappling will be too much for Holly. Either way Ronda needs to get rid of the striking coach that she's been with and go spend countless hours out in Big Bear learning from Abel & GGG on how to effectively pressure an agile opponent with a built in defense to be able get inside and work in the clinch.

                  Hi all, first post!

My friend, who is a Bujutsu master tells me the only guys that ever gave him trouble and he doesn't like to fight are boxers.

I'm surprised to hear anything from Laila Ali, I thought she was still in hiding from Anne Wolfe.

How do you like that, Ring Magazine. Epically bad decision on your part. But aside from that, Dana White only made this fight so he could come back and say his MMA champ destroyed the boxing champ. Well, well, well...how'd that work out for ya?
