Oh, so that's how the contract works. He can take two tune ups before June 2016, but any fight after that has to be a Kovalev fight. He should fight in January and then fight again in May.

If he fights some top guys I'm okay with him saving Kov til last, but wtf man this type of outlook isn't garnering you any fans Mr. Ward. Floyd cameback & fought a P4P guy. Ali cameback & had 1 fight & fought Frazier. Ward still trying to fight bs opponents.

I've never been the biggest Ward fan, but I've always appreciated his talent & thought he capable of great feats, but he's starting to be one of the biggest disappointments in the sport of boxing.

I don't have a problem with his cautious approach after being out of the ring for so long and having a tune up with a guy who could hardly keep up. Ward has to work out the kinks, and get used to the weight moreso than prepare for Kovlev.
