As of this a.m. I see that BoxRec.com has dropped Andre Ward to number 21 on their P4P ranking; they are adjusting to Ward's diminished capacity.
You said, "walk through Ward's punches." I said that I'd have to see it to believe that Ward had enough of a punch to hurt GGG, and as I made clear, I wasn't talking about GGG being an immobile target (implying that in a fight with GGG that I would have to see Ward hurt GGG to believe that he could do it). And I will not retract that opinion. GGG is too complete a boxer for Ward's limited power. Ward couldn't stop Carl Froch, Ward hasn't a chance of stopping GGG.

Pascal, Gonzalez, Barrera, Chilemba, Braehmer, Monaghan, Stieglitz, Shabranskyy, Skoglund, Mikhalkin, Mekhontsev, Vlasov, etc. Ward would have more meaningful options if RocNation/PBC had a good relationship, but he'll have to make due with what's available. Stop behaving like a victim and FIGHT.

its not a duck if Ward is at 168 - at that's his weight class. but if he's a light heavyweight and one of the top lb 4 lb fighters in the sport - the f***in fight the top guys. its a simple concept.
There are a lot of problems with the way UFC runs its business and treats its fighters. but, the one thing they have right is that they constantly have the top guys fighting the top guys. they dont "build" fights for years - they make the best fights they can each and every year

UFC barely has a legit SUPERSTAR on their entire roster. You have Rousey who is only popular because she is female and womens MMA is new and she has nobody who can challenge her so she looks like a Goddess to the "hopeful" females of the world. Than you have Jones who is more popular for out of the ring antics than he is for his fighting, although a great fighter. No other name you can call a certified "star" in UFC, not even McGregor with his fanbase can be called a legit Superstar as outside of the sport most do not know who he is. Not to mention, UFC top fighters get paid less than the likes of Robert Garcias and Maidanas do, literally. So what is your point?? UFC not building any bank breaking stars and boxers with the same level of fameget paid far more than they do.

Unless you can prove that Ward signed a contract stipulating that he will fight Kovalev, YOU CAN'T SAY HE'S SIGNED TO FIGHT KOVALEV!!! It's not rocket science. The only thing that has been confirmed is that he signed a 3 fight deal with HBO, which HOPEFULLY culminates into a Kovalev fight. You can't force a fighter to sign for a fight thats 3 fights down the line. It's legally unacceptable and Ward would never do that. They just HOPE that Ward will do it.

... This summer, Hopkins called GGG out... De La Hoya called GGG out and even Ward offered to fight him (at some point next spring). Golovkin ducked them all.

De La Hoya said he wasn't even serious and Bernard is at 175...how is that even a duck? Ward hasnt even been fighting it's not like that's a duck either... It doesn't sound like GGG is all that interested in Ward as Ward is in GGG. I think Ward is amazing but you cant dish out all kinds of stipulations while not being active like it's GGG's fault and then for someone in his own weigh class he's basically going to let Kovalev run through all of 175 and then try to shoot himself into a fight with Kov after Kov puts in all the work. Instead of talking himself up and aggressively seeking out the best in his division he's looking two classes down at this point. I like Ward but he's got some of those Kahn delusions...it helps he's actually good but the way he's managing his career lately is ******ed imo
