Comments Thread For: Canelo Views Cotto as Chance To Cement His Legacy

Given the way his own Hall of Fame career played out, it’s no surprise that boxer-turned-promoter Oscar de la Hoya has made it the Golden Boy Promotions mission statement for its fighters to be matched in the best fights possible.

Most in his stable have been receptive to the concept, even if producing mixed results as of late. At the front of the line – as luck would have it – is the company’s centerpiece attraction, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. At just 25 years of age, he has already been a pro boxer for 10 full years and has emerged as the face of boxing in his native Mexico.

                Legacy??

Canelo huge fan but bro your only 25 years old. Lol
How in the hell can you submit your legacy already at 25?? That's not possible.
You have another 10 years ahead of you I want to say.
I will say that you have fought great competition already at your age.
Probably at this age you have made more money in boxing then anyone at 25. I guess you can say that's part of your legacy.
You have already fought the greatest of his generation in Money May.
Fought tough fights in Lara and Trout. Fought guys like Kirkland, Angulo. Cotto next.
Your on your way to superstardom. But you got a long way to go.
GGG is coming for your spot.

Your way to premature to say your legacy is being cemented.
