Mayweather decisioned Pacquiao after twelve rounds of action this past May at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao claimed that he entered the ring with a pre-existing shoulder that affected his performance during the fight. He says he further injured himself in the fourth round. The right shoulder was operated on a few days later.

So..... Pacquiao insists that this will be his last fight..... and yet he is not giving up his quest for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jnr?

    Makes sense.

    No, wait.....

Right. Because most of Floyd's recent opponents have earned it. Especially Berto.

        Pointless...

I simply don't understand what goes on in that cat's pumpkin sized noggin? When you have to invent reasons why a rematch should happen that are outside of the ring and reality there is no need for one. Manny was thoroughly schooled by Mayweather to the point that there was no suspense, or mystery just a straight clinical ass whippin'.

The only two reasons I see for a rematch are the obvious financial dividends, but I also think it would assuage the legions of Kool-Aid drinkers that thought Pac was really injured....

Yeah!!! I agree can you beleive that sht was on PPV??? Now the fight I ORDERED for all my T'V's on PPV was that AWESOME GGG/ PePe Lemuix fight! That fight deserved at least "Fight of the Year" consideration. I really didn't know who was going to win!!! Even Veas at it almost DEAD even at -1600 - -2200... You won't ever see more closer odd than that!!

Because he wants (however unlikely it is at this point) his next fight to be a rematch with Floyd Mayweather?

What part did you misunderstand exactly?

But won't that be difficult considering that no negotiations are currently taking place with Mayweather..... and also considering that Pacquiao's options are Crawford/Khan/Matthyse?

Might as well..considering both are ready for a lifetime cruise. If people are still willing to pay for it go for it. I'll watch the replay.

I couldn't allow myself to be gyped again. The rematch would be identical, except Mayweather makes better adjustments than Pacquiao.
