As you've said, the fans are doing everything in their power to keep Ward away from Golovkin. They know that Ward would strip him down in the ring.
I disagree it's that one sided, but if so, why would you complain about it not getting made? And how can you support Ward for such cherry picking?

There was public demand for Pac Floyd, with the casuals etc. Nobody wants to watch Ward fight beyond a few hard cores and relatives, and GGG is nowhere near that level of attraction, may never get there.

It's not really the same at all. With Mayweather vs Pacquiao both fanbases wanted to see that fight because they both believed in the abilities of their fighters. Both guys were sure hall of famers and PPV attractions.

With GGG and Andre Ward it is obvious that GGG fans don't want him anywhere near Ward which to me suggests they doubt his ability as a fighter. And while during the Mayweather Pacquiao saga it was was the guy who seemed to be avoiding the fight who received all the hate but with Ward and GGG the guy who is pursuing the fight is getting the hate.

and if they fight it will be a boring 1 sided fight where 100 excuses are made after the fight rinse and repeat...

**** is down right hilarious..glad i dont have a dog in this fight, now i get to sit back and see how ****** it really is

GGG fans on the other hand are in absolute fear of Ward. They act as babysitters trying to protect him from moving up and have no interest whatsoever in seeing this fight. So instead, they hope Ward's struggles outside the ring continue because his out of the ring issues protect GGG.

Look at the arguments. Pac fans would say "Floyd fears Pac because he is a fast southpaw and attacks at awkward angles. GGG fans are more like " Ward is not a draw and is too big".

In the case of Ward vs GGG, seems as only Ward fans want the fight to happen!

You CAN'T HYPE Golovkin, he's for real and he's proven it. Tell me when was the last time that he lost a ROUND!? not saying a fight, but a single ****ing ROUND. The guy is just SO good that he makes the rest of the MW look like amateurs. You CAN'T deny that.

He wants to be the lineal champ at 160, what's your problem with that?

Ward has always been a LHW since amateurs, and he's now fighting at LHW. At least Mayweather and Pacquiao were fighting in the same division, so the fight made sense.

Ward fans are all wrong. Ward should be calling out LHW's not MW's. If there's a group to blame for this, these are the Ward fans that are jealous and envy of Golovkin. Period.

GGG is THE ****ING REAL DEAL. Deal with it.

Its not that level of fight because they haven't beaten fighters on the level of each other while Pac and Floyd did. Fans comparing them to the elites is why these fa9s strut around like divas in the first place.

This is more like Mayweather/Corrales. Floyd was still in his first weight class and a p4p candidate while Corrales was a mean undefeated p4p ranked titlist looking to solidify his status.

He's fought no one. The best guy he has faced was KO'd by a journeyman not too long ago. At 160 I think he is unbeatable due to his size and power but he looks limited to a lot of people which is why some people want to see him face Ward. I believe everyone in their hearts knows he can't beat Ward which is why his detractors want to see him face Ward and his supporters do not.

GGG is a good fighter but not a great one. Great fighters have always moved up in weight and sought out challenges while he has not.

It's just unbecoming of a p4p #2 to be chasing after an unproven hypejob from a division below, nevermind the bogus offers. And if a guy with Wards creds needs 3 tuneups for best guy one division up, how can you expect so much more from unproven MW hypejob? At least his 168 tuneups are guys like Froch, Chavez, not Aussie or Colombian bums dragged up from MW

It's kinda like that except they're at least a division apart, and the smaller guy has much better opportunities in his weight class right now. And Corrales was a much more active fighter with a lot more momentum.
