Comments Thread For: Arum: HBO on Board With Abraham-Ramirez Clash

Wynn Resort & Casino, Las Vegas - Some very important fights are coming up in the super middleweight division.

One those fights is a WBO super middleweight showdown between champion Arthur Abraham (43-4, 29KOs) of Germany and British challenger Martin Murray (32-2-1, 15KOs), which takes place on November 21 at the Tui Arena in Hannover.

    Big step up

If Ramirez wins his next fight and Abraham gets past Murray that would be a very good matchup. But a risky one for Ramirez because that's a huge step up in competition for him. He should test the waters against Geale, Groves, or 1 of the Dirrell brothers (Wishful thinking both are with Haymon. That will never happen.)

Bob Arum probably see's him as his version of Canelo. I will say this Ramirez for sure has the skills and ability. Extremely marketable.

Has way more to offer than Chavez Jr.
Bob Arum missed the mark on him even though is wasn't his doing it was Chavez.

I think Zurdo probably needs a bit more work before he's ready for that. Abraham isn't the greatest and it wouldn't be an unwinnable fight for Ramirez, but I don't think he's quite ready to maintain fighting at that level just yet. But he's only 24 - no rush.

Abraham's not beating Murray. God Abraham is awful these days, his punches are wide, slow and infrequent even then he's got about 30 seconds of stamina per round and he's gassed. I see Martin outworking Abraham and pushing him around and beating him up, maybe late stoppage.

Murray could be alot of trouble for Rameriz, especially if Hearn forces the fight to be in the UK.

Abraham doesn't rule 168. He picked up a paper title and has defended it against bums in Germany ever since.

He's actually a lot like GGG. Made his name of KOing a bunch of walkovers and was king of the little leagues down at 160

Came up to 168 and got toyed with like a little child by every top fighter there.

so you are admitting that if murray wins its a great accomplishment. king of 2 divisions martin murray. what a great name to have on someone's resume. a certain someone who people say hasn't beaten anyone yet he beat a guy who was king of 2 divisions. legit style too, not broner style.

He'll have beaten the king of the minor leagues.

Abraham doesn't deserve to have a title and Murray doesn't deserve a title shot either. Fight was only made due to Sauerland and Hearn being bum chums plus Murray has no power and a very robbable style if it comes it.

I don't think Murray gets a decision in Germany even if he does win and Abraham doesn't even bother to turn up most of the time. He went life and death with Paul Smith - the guy you deride so much for being a Ward comeback opponent.

James DeGale would **** on both of these guys in the same night taking 6 rounds off.

Groves got a gift decision when they were both prospects.

GGG's supposed best win was knocked out by Marco Rubio and lost to Alcine.

Or was it the guy that lost to Darren Barker? Lol.

Or Murray who went life and death with Khomitsky twice and looked liked **** before he fought GGG?

                    You tell me.
