Wach barely got past a journeyman, Oluokun. He was landing some monster shots against Wach and cutting the ring off, it's no surprise Povetkin would KO him.

Wach is not good, he's not even better than Duhapaus.

If Wach is so terrible how did he cut povetkins eye in round 4 and last 12 rounds on a cut that wasn't effecting his vision anyway in something in all likely hood Wilder wont do if he gets hit the same way Wach did? Misplaced logic as usual!

Every single one of Wilder's opponents would also be KO'd by Povetkin.

That's debatable, Stiverne is just as good, if not better than any of Povetkin's best wins and Wilder pretty much dominated him. Stiverne has serious knockout power and could easily hurt Povetkin who's wide open, if Takam & Huck could hurt Povetkin, so could he.

Duhapaus has actually proven more than Wach, his win over Charr is more impressive than anything Wach has done. Wach's claim to fame is being Wlad's punching bag.

Sure, Wilder might be faster than Wach, a better boxer.. but in NO WAY he has a better chin.

              Sasha dominated Wach completely.
He won't need a "better chin" than Wach. Wilder is NOTHING like Wach. Wilder throws an extremely high # of punches, has massive power, and is much much faster and quicker than Wach. Povetkin wont be wading in while Wilder is hunched over waiting to be blasted with hooks.

Wilder uses his height and reach very effectively. Sure Wilder will get hit, but Stiverne hit him and never really hurt him despite being known as a big puncher. And he was never really hit flush. And Povetkin will be taking massive punishment trying to come in on DW unlike v Wach.

                Stiverne was ill..

Povetkin will not be ill and even then, he still has more power.

Wilder gases out badly later on, Povetkin keeps going.

And Wilder is going to beat his ass.

All the people saying that Povetkin is going to demolish Wilder are the same people who said Stiverne was going to demolish Wilder.

Come get some more egg on your faces.

Just watched the fight and Povetkin's definitely a smooth operator - he's got really good boxing skills and I think he has deceptively fast hands. Povetkin is very good at negotiating the distance against a taller opponent and has a lot of snap and accuracy on his punches when he gets in range.

Povetkin doesn't have much of an inside game though. Against Wach everytime they got remotely close, Povetkin was content with letting Nady break them up. On an aside, what a horrendous ref job by Jay Nady. Whenever the fighters got close he instinctively broke them up, instead of instructing them to fight out of the clinch. He also, repeatedly issued warnings to Wach for having his hands on Povetkin - his was too involved in action.

Anyway, after watching this fight, I think Wilder beats Povetkin. Wilder has about the same height and reach as Wach but is much more offensively skilled, powerful and explosive. Also, in his last fight, Wilder showed that he has a decent inside game and can box 'in-close.' Wilder will have to fight a smart disciplined, but not overly tentative, fight against the Russian and once he finds his ranged and rhythm I think he KO's him.
