Going up to 160 is like career suicide unless you can have a trilogy with GGG. one of the WORST division in boxing. At least he won't be scared to move up unlike ggg. That would be some sht if he fights Ward when ggg wouldn't...

Ok, I'm not sure I agree though.

First, he wanted Lara's belt, but they wouldn't sanction because of CW. Canelo could of come down 1 pound and got it. (Not sure Canelo makes 154 with really hurting himself)

You know this brings me to another point, Canelo would be more dangerous if he didn't drain down to 155. He gasses out in 2nd half of fight. Not draining 20 pounds, and draining 15 would help him a lot.

Second, do you really think Canelo is gonna go up against GGG if not forced to by the mandate. I'm not so sure.

However, Dan Rafael agrees with you, mostly, and does think he may:

You want to see GGG in another PPV, then you better hope the Cotto/Canelo winner doesn't duck. Golovkin will make either one look like a mismatch, but it's a good fight because it makes money and you've heard the names Cotto/Canelo before, right? lol
Cott/Canelo doing no better vs GGG than Lemeiux did will be more of a legit fight because you heard the names Cotto/Canelo and "MUH RESUME DOE!" ppv numbers HoF legacy bank account blah blah blah lol.
Either one will get stopped under 9 rounds.
