Move up and fight who? You know Abraham isn't taking that fight, Dirrells, Jack and DeGale are with Haymon. You dying to see Golovkin-Stieglitz?

Yeah, moving up would be a fool's errand at this point.

whatever weight GGG can make without killing himself, that's where he should be fighting. if that's middleweight, he should stay there until he can't make the weight without killing himself.

if he can manage to accumulate and maintain all four world titles, even better. stay there as long as possible and make the world go through him.
Nobody is opposed to that. What we are opposed to is making claims you'll fight anyone from 154-168, attempt to make fights at 168, and then run away scared when someone at 168 actually calls your bluff.

But people who actually achieve things stay focused on the immediate next goal. One goal at a time.

Most people don't know this, because they don't DO anything themselves.

Interesting point.. I actually see that now.

THIS. It all comes back to people wanting to see Ward vs. GGG. He is getting fights at 160. They might not be interesting (i.e. Monroe, Johnson), but it's not like SMW is filled with options. He'll only be able to choose from Ward and Ramirez right now. MW makes more sense at the moment.

This, a 1000 times this. After MW, Golovkin has only two good, make-able fights left in his career - Kovalev and Ward. There's no one else.

if he doesn't get canelo or cotto who will want him to come down, what fight/opponent will he get that will put his name on the map? it will have to be at 168 he will have to move up.

Would be even more impressive if GGG goes to 168 does the same he did at 160.

You have to dare to be great..... he has not dared yet.

                    Hasn't fought at 168 since 2013.
How is Ward a "money fight" even if he was at 168?
GGG had a big money fight at 168, even signed the contract but Chavez Jr chose to run the other way.
lets not play dumb that ward did not want/offer a fight at 168 to GGG, only reason he is moving up is because he cleaned out the division, nothing left to prove there

IF GGG fights ward @ 168 and beats him , hell he maybe in the conversation of one of the greatest smw of all time, that's the legacy making victory/fight right there. and , when I said money fight, I was talking about canelo and cotto
