Comments Thread For: Manager: Khan Changed His Mind on Provodnikov Bout

Former junior welterweight world champion Ruslan Provodnikov (24-4, 17KOs) will is training hard for his next fight on November 7 in Monaco. His opponent will be 23-year-old Mexican contender Jesus Rodriguez (13-0, 10KO).

According to Provodnikov's manager, Vadim Kornilov, the original plan was to have his fighter make his Showtime televised debut against former champion Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs). They thought the fight was a done deal and even started camp for the contest, but then Khan decided to take a pass on the fight.

Khan Is A Weasel; He Knows His Chin Would Never Stand Provo

I'm so tired of this gutless POS, who talks about everyone's career, boast about himself like he's done something since getting KOd in 2010/2011 at 140. But doesn't have the ballz to take ANY risk at 147.

Khan is one of the biggest jokes in boxing now a days, always running his mouth yet since Garcia sparked him he as not fought anyone really, the best he as fought in over 3 Years is Devon, who is past it now, and all this not accepting fight hoping to get the pig pay day a year later is becoming a joke

                  so he never signed ?

He is saying Khan never signed anything so howcome he backed out ?

                  Three questions:
                  Is he a welterweight ?
Is he in top 10 in any of 147 rankings ?
Is he Coming from a victory ?

Since every one and their moma is unhappy about Khan facing the 140 guys coming from defeat. Answer these please

Chris Algieri was none of those things but that didn't stop Khan fighting him.

Khan backed out because he is a celebrity boxer. He doesn't take fights where there's a chance he might get sparked out and lose out on his celebrity fight against Mayweather or Pacquaio.
