Comments Thread For: Saunders: After I Beat Lee, I'm 18 Months From Golovkin

Unbeaten contender Billy Joe Saunders (22-0, 12KOs) is setting a high bar for his future in the middleweight division.

Saunders beat a string of domestic contenders like John Ryder, Spike O'Sullivan, Chris Eubank Jr. and Nick Blackwell.

He moves to the world level on December 19th, when he takes on WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee (34-2) at the Manchester Arena. BoxNation will televise in the UK and HBO is interested in picking it up as well.

18 months away.....aaahhh now I get it...it will take Gennady golovkin 18 months to walk from the UK to Sydney.....if golovkin sets out today and walks 20 miles everyday for the next 18 months....that's a 600 miles every month which will total 10,800 miles which is the distant from here to Australia...apparently that's where Saunders is moving to lol..... war golovkin

Didn't this guy say GGG destroys him and Eubank jr. in the same night?

Well I hope you don't win the title, that is far too long of a wait.

Ooooooooof! Lee will need to kill BJS to escape with his belt, I see Frank Warren going all out harder than his fighter to get the win here.

I appreciate BJS's honesty though, he said in clear words what Alvarez only hinted at.

One possible scenario - BJS gets a decision over Lee, builds his popularity in the UK, then travels to the US for a big Vegas fight with Alvarez with the winner going to Golovkin -(****ing 2 years from now.....)

I have video where Saunders blatantly says he will never go near golovkin ...honest video but it don't bear well him ever facing triple GGG , The WBO are notoroious for letting warren his manager make his own rules in defending that title against who, when and where...I think if Saunders wins you won't see a Saunders golovkin match for some time, Lee is different he only made an interview last week saying he only has 2 0r 3 fights left before he retires and says golovkin will be amongst the final fights.

That ugly birthmark would be a bulls-eye for Golovkin.
