Comments Thread For: Rios' Strategy is To Apply Pressure, Knock Bradley Out

There is a lot at stake for Brandon Rios heading into his November 7 challenge versus two-time welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley Jr.

The 29-year old brawler comes in having won two straight, but needs a big win here to avoid being tagged with the role of well-known opponent. If his current training camp is any indication, then the former lightweight titlist is going all in for his upcoming HBO headliner at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rios is going to get destroyed lol, unless he can land a couple lucky punches.

Haha, so in other words the same ol' fight plan? If Bradley decides to box a bit he'll outpoint Rios very widely.

Well that's a revelation. I always thought he'd stick-and-move and frustrate Bradley with his boxing skills.

I wouldn't sleep on Rios in this fight. In fact, I might be picking him to win.

Rios got some surprises for Bradley I can tell you that. If bradley plans on using his footwork to stay away from rios its not going to work. Rios is going to win this bout wither by UD or TKO, from what I have seen I have no doubt about it atm.

If Bradley runs and Rios is unsuccessful in cutting off the ring then Bradley will likely win on points unless the judges see Bradley as ineffective. If Rios can manage to cut off the ring and force a fight, then he has a good chance of winning because Bradley is a sucker for the uppercut. I can see the fight ending on cuts for either fighter because both have used their heads in the past.

Definitely possible. If Rios lands a good punch, Bradley will start brawling...which will be his downfall.

I like Bradley's heart, but I don't understand why he's ranked so highly on the P4P lists. He's had too many near-death experiences against one dimensional bruisers to be ranked that high.
