I can beat up Mike Tyson, that doesn't make it true. But think about it, Arguello would have messed him up, Pryor, Bobby Chacon. Nobody boxes anymore. Floyd Mayweather isn't even the best of the weakest era in boxing history.

At 135 and 140, no. Competitive, but no.

Floyd is a great defensive specialist and because of the level of competition today Floyd shined. Duran up to 1980 would have battered Floyd. Hearns would have knocked him out cold inside of 3 rounds. Leonard would have figured him out in the late rounds and taken him out too. Hearns must have just shaken his head when he watched Floyd's fights with that level of competition, knowing they all would easy prey. Tall long fighters with a great jab, hand speed and power is stylistically bad for Floyd.

          I agree 100%

            We know that already.

If Floyd fought you, you will have to chase him though. He runs and hugs for a living Duran.

The best chance Mayweather would have is the Duran who fought Kirkland Laing. I give him that one, but the one from 135 and 147, forget it. Duran had his legs under him and could cut off that ring too well. Of course, a referee that broke up the action on the inside constantly would make it closer.

                yeah i disagree.

what part of duran's style did floyd imitate?

floyd boxes circles around him and frustrates him.

but this is all fantasy, no need to get emotional. as far as the TBE thing, he's entitled to feel that way. lennox lewis also feels hes the best ever.

No era compares to the late 70's/early 80's welterweight division; it was the best in 147 pound division in history.

But Floyd gets murdered by Duran, Leonard, Trinidad, a young De La Hoya. Mayweather is hyped up garbage.

i get it, so when duran loses, he's past his prime and a drunk. when he wins, he's an unstoppable killer that would just run through anything and knockout robots. man gtfoh.

how was he past his prime for the leonard rematch when it was 5 months after the first fight?

every single boxer that ever lived during the 80's destroys floyd right? lol, this is all fantasy, no right or wrong answer.
