The first two fights on the undercard were sad mismatches.
In fact, all four fights had a predictable outcome, although the two main events were between top 10 boxers in their respective divisions.
If it would have been Ortiz vs. a top 25 heavyweight, and Johnson vs. someone good (like Monroe Jr, Magomedov, or Eubank Jr) the PPV would have done better.

It was a great card, but it did not belong anywhere near PPV. GGG is a very popular fighter, but because of greed in this sport, nobody got to see him to allow him to grow further. PPVs were at one time to be used to get 2 great fighters to meet in the ring. That was OK. Now they try to use it for any popular fighter, and it does nothing but push fans away.

97k is beyond crap for a PPv.. Even mosely-mora and hopkins-dawson did more than that, and this was by far a better card..
I'm not trying to spin it for ggg,, it appears to be a giant flop, but I do think casuals just don't give a **** anymore after floyd/manny...
Mosley fought Oscar, Margartio, Cotto, Foyd, Manny, and Canelo
Hopkins fought Trinidad, Oscar, Calzaghe and Roy.
who is the biggest name ggg fought?Last edited by MrRolltide91; 10-22-2015, 07:27 PM.

Now if Cotto-Canelo does 97K, sound the alarms. With that said, I'm a diehard boxing fan, and I didn't even stream that PPV. I just didn't care, and by the numbers, barely anyone did. I didn't even stream Mayweather-Berto either, I made other plans that night. I barely have tolerance for mismatches of free TV, why would I pay $60 for one? I mean that is just the height of ******ity.

Also, odds didn't reflect any fight on this card being competitive (in spite of what a bunch of delusional people said on this site). So you have a card without a star but with uncompetitive matchups. This is what you get.

I will be honest, it is somewhat amusing watching people die by the very same sword that they sharpened.
Nobody become a Superstar on 1 SATURDAY NIGHT! It takes many Saturday Nights to become a Superstar and the "A Side" in boxing. I guess some people have learned the HARD WAY!
