Comments Thread For: Garcia: In Victory, Rios Deserves Another Pacquiao Shot

krikya360.com recently caught up with world class trainer Robert Garcia who trains a deep stable of fighters out of his Oxnard and Riverside, Calififornia gyms.

One of his pupils, Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24KOs), is currently in camp preparing for his November 7th clash against WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. The fight takes place at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao used Rios' face as a punching bag for 12 rounds. That would be the most pointless rematch ever.

That's what I'm talking about, get my man another 4 million dollar pay day. Then he can retire and enjoy life after boxing. If not Pacquiao then he could fight Marquez and make around 2 mill; Either way, make that money Brandon, **** the haters

Nah, Rios was a recognizable name and good opponent to fight coming off the KO. Pacquiao could've retired, but decided to keep fighting.

Is Rios wholly average? Yeah, but he's got a lot of hustle similar to Bradley.

Only reason that first fight made sense was to make manny look good which it did and keep all money on top rank pockets that's about it but I guess if he can get another payday and retire I'm good for that dude doesn't need to take anymore damage if he get rematch with pac

Give me a break... Rios was awful against Manny. 100% uncompetitive. Embarrassing. He's a glorified punch bag.
