I usually dislike arrogant twats, but he is so pantomime its quite amusing. The heavyweight sitting next to him in that interview came across as brain dead compared to Patel.
I hope he can fight.

That's the thing, Patel isn't a ****** guy. He talks a lot of ****, but he speaks very well, seems very sharp.

Obviously the jury is still out if he can fight but here we are talking about him. He's had 2 pro fights against nobody, yet thousands of people are watching his videos and talking about him, like us right now.

It's all by design and it's good. There's far too many passive fighters around.

I can understand why people would dislike him but i watch boxing to be entertained, whether that's in the ring or interviews and promo's or anything and he does his job that way. Many people are saying he's an idiot and a clown. He still has to go back it up in the ring, and if he can't then he will do that job on his own of looking like a clown. So i'm just going to enjoy him as long as it lasts.

Good luck to the kid, he's obviously doing something right and if it makes him a couple of extra quid, good on him.

I was thinking after watching Crawford tonight that the post Floyd fighters all in contention for the p4p spot are all known for their boxing ability and none feel the need to be controversial outspoken wankers to sell tickets like Floyd. I find it refreshing.
Patel is able to be both arrogant but entertaining because his act is so over the top.
