Canelo will beat the PULP out of cotto and will get NO CREDIT for beating an old washed up cotto! who his last fights were selected to showcase not to test him in any way!!! Canelo should put him away in 8-9rounds! VIVA MEXICO CABRONES! I just hope the fight is worth the PPV $

Of course he wasn't. He had his best moments in the latter rounds. If he was, he'd have been dead tired. I don't buy it for a second. He lost because his brain was always two steps behind Mayweather's.

I feel Cotto needs to make Canelo work early in order to tire him. This will not come easy as he will need to get in some exchanges in order to do that. Cotto is not a runner so I believe he will engage. If he survives the early fresh Canelo, he has a good chance late in the fight. Not getting broken in 5-6 rounds is what Cotto needs to do to have a great chance late.

          Let’s just analyze Cotto’s career @ 154 and 160:
          • Yuri Foreman (one legged rookie) – Won WBA Light Middleweight title.
          • Ricardo Mayorga (retired drug addict) – Retain WBA LMW Title.
          • Antonio Margarito (One eyed margo) – Retain WBA LMW Title. (Margarito should have never been granted license due to his busted orbital bone. Once his eye started swelling, the commission got scared and stopped the fight when Margarito was catching up to Cotto. Should the fight lasted one more round, the story would have been different.)
          • Floyd Mayweather (Everybody knows what happened) – Lost WBA LMW Title.
          • Austin Trout (not so good boxer) – Lost. Trout made a fool out of Cotto
          • Sergio Martinez (old man with no legs) – Won MW Title.
          • Delvin Rodriguez (class C fighter forced to drain)
          • Daniel Gale (not so good fighter forced to drain)
          [/LIST]
I’m Puertorican but I’m not blind. Cotto's career @ 154 and @ 160 have been a farce. He is not big enough for those weight classifications so he is just picking really poor opponents and making them drain. I don’t like Gingerboy very much but he will kill Cotto inside 10 rounds. Gingerboy is just too strong, too big, and too young for the old lion. Cotto's going to get about 30 mill anyways, so it is worth the beating.

Always loved and enjoyed the MX-PR rivalry. Fan of both fighters but understand both have their flaws and limitations, which to me makes this fight so intriguing.

            - I think this fight will come up to Canelo's ability to get and punish Cotto early in the fight. I know common sense says Canelo younger, fresher than Cotto, but by both of these fighters have the tendency to gassed late in the fight, it'll come to adjustment and experience and Cotto has a better corner and more experience.

            - So I'll say Canelo early and Cotto late.

No, Roach. It will be Cotto that gets drowned. Canelo will prove to be too much for him at this stage of Cotto's career. May the best boxer win.

                ...................

                Here is my prediction.....

Cotto stuns Canelo in the first couple of rounds ala Martinez and wont be able to regroup, then Cotto capitalizes around round 5-6 KO's Canelo with a body shot.

                Cant wait!!

I think everyone needs to realize Roach just says whatever he wants to stir up the media. I'm sure they are a lot more cautious and calculated in what may happen on fight night with Canelo. I think Cotto will win don't get me wrong. But I know for a fact they are coming to win. Not put on a show. So we may see Cotto be a little more defensive

Sorry Canelo has hit his prime, he had tons of amateur fights not to mention alot of pro fights before the age of 22.

It was Canelo and his team that said they could make 152 with out a problem. Floyd made them eat those words. Him and his teams fault. And he didn't looked drained to me on fight night, he just looked confused.
