He shouldn't be 1% scared. Lemiuex doesn't bring anything. Power? Power only does not win fights, it'll get you wins from time to time against irresponsible fighters. Like Bailey-Jones. Golovkin's power is more likely to cause Lemiuex problems than Lem to GGG. Unless GGG does the "hit me in the face" thing he did with non-puncher Monroe Jr.

I know English is his second language but just say you're not scared and move on. He should be 0% scared. It's not like they're fighting in an alley. You'll have a few hundred thousand witnesses if you're in any danger.

As you said, English is not his first language, not even his second or third, it is at least his FOURTH language. What Golovkin is most likely trying to get across is not fear, but nervousness. He is 1% nervous. And that probably has as much to do with the fact that he is headlining his first PPV as it does with his opponent.

Once he walks to the ring and hears the crowd cheering his name and the bell rings to start the fight, all nerves will be gone. All doubts will be gone. And not long after, Lemieux will be gone.
