Canelo has no mandatory. What's the point.

Taking a risky opponent in your weight division is one thing.

But why would GGG fight Lara when Lara talked his way into a Canelo fight and lost.

And if Lara can't beat Canelo, the he can't beat GGG, what the hell he gonna do.

And Canelo beat Lara, GGG trying to get Canelo. He trying to get Cotto, he trying to get Lee.

And according to Abel, GGG did try to get a risky fight, against Ward.

But I've sad, Ward doesn't get it when he wants it, after turning it down before.

Ward waits until GGG has fights in front of him. That's absolutely a ploy, period.

    But twist away.

    Here is the quote.

Andre Ward's a liar. When he sent that email, it was after the Lemieux fight had already signed," he said. "So he's a liar. Secondly, we've been trying to get Andre Ward to come to some kind of agreement for the last couple years. First, he was in trouble with Goossen, they were suing each other, and Goossen beat him three times.

"Then he signed with Roc Nation. Go back and look at the transcripts, the first thing Roc Nation said was he needs two tune-up fights. Then he fights one at 172. We as Golovkin's team cannot sit around waiting for Andre Ward to make up his mind what he wants to do."

Then you seem to think GGG should fight a loser JR. MW.

But I guarantee you'd say he only best Lara because he was a Jr.MW.

I don't need your respect. I could give a damn if you respect me.

You lack deductive reasoning skills, and your ability to think critically stops at the door of anything GGG.

You repeatedly ignore things you don't like and keep making points that don't fly.

What the hell has Lara done that warrants him a shot at the best MW in the world?

Why does Lara get to talk his way into big fig after big fight.

GGG has fought the best in front of him, has earned shots at unification, lineal match.

I'll call for a Lara, Andrade, etc. fight as soon as they come up to 160 and get something done.

GGG has very much earned the shot at Canelo and Cotto, by the simple fact he is their mandatory. He has been the Mandatory for Cotto's belt for a long while.

You act like Ward offered GGG a fight this year.

Can you honestly say that you'd demand any other fighter sign a contract to fight a guy like Ward 16 months down the line.

A year and 4 months later. That's not an offer, it's a PR stunt.

But you insist on bringing up Ward.

See how that doesn't quite jive.

Bullsht. GGG has LITERALLY called out every single great/popular boxer between 154 to 168, from Floyd to Cotto to Froch to Ward. Every single one of the fighters, INCLUDING CANELO has turned the fight down, for one reason or another.

The argument on this forum is by Ward maniacs who are hanging by a "Lil G" thread. Golovkin himself has mentioned that he's been turned down by Ward multiple times.

Golovkin has much better fights available to him now, and until/unless Ward becomes relevant again, this fight is not happening. Let it go.

That might be true. As far as I remember it, they said 154-160 and something like "168 for the right fight" i.e. Carl Froch exclusively.

I really have no problem with this. Golovkin is closer to LMW than SMW.

Yikes, he just doomed himself. I'm sure he's in great shape and all but every time a guy says how young they feel, it's fight around the ttime they start looking old. There must be a psychology behind it because it's uncanny how often that phrase comes out when a fighter slows down.

Golovkin's manager just admitted they turned down Ward because they wanted more than 50%. Don't lie to yourself about it. Genady wants easy money, it's pretty obvious. He wouldn't even fight little Lara.

Awesome! He should fight fonfara, and see how that works out for him.
I know there is a weight diff, but he will fight in that division someday.

David has a shot at beating GGG.

look i have no problem with a fighter going for the money like GGG wants to do now by going after canelo-cotto winner, but sometimes they need to take high risk low reward fights and lara was offered when most ggg fans claimed no one wanted to fight him, and sanchez admitted that he rejected that fight and picked monroe instead, no matter how you slice it lara is a better fighter than anyone on ggg resume... and just because canelo beat him doesnt mean he is a looser or that he automatically loses to ggg...
i like that match and i think ggg beats him cuz he cuts the ring better than canelo, but i still want to see that match over the monroes or tureanos of the world... i want to see ggg fight a skilled fighter like lara or ward, i think those styles match well, and i also want to see canelo-ggg(guaranteed fireworks) next year, all of those fights can happen there is plenty of time..

Who was Lara offered by? Not HBO, they haven't shown a Haymon fighter in 2 years and doubt they'd start with a runner who dropped his pants in his one shot at big time
