Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner Gets Irritated During Showtime Interview

Later tonight, Adrien Broner will go for his fourth world title in his home state of Ohio. He faces Russia's Khabib Allakhverdiev at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Broner (30-2, 22 KOs), who captured titles at super featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, battles Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) - a former WBA "regular" 140-pound champion - in the main event of a Showtime (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) card.

The vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight world title will be at stake.

He has a point. These titles mean a lot to these guys. Hopefully he's the same hungry ab that cried after he beat demarco

He should learn that he needs Showtime and ESPN more than they need him. The guy can't sell out an arena in Cincinnati, OH and can only beat C level fighters.
I saw the TMZ video of him getting arrested for his DUI. He tells the police officer, who has no idea who he is, that he is a boxer and has made over $100 million dollars fighting worldwide.
Its the old George Castanza line from Seinfeld.."Its not a lie if your really believe it.."

Sorry Broner but, *** Your Feelings!

You want respect...EARN IT! While I agree that the boxing media as well as self proclaim boxing fans Online have some complete idiots who just troll for attention and I think the guy Interviewing him was purposely trying to get that type of reaction from him. He said he wasn't doing any interviews but yet I see him doing interviews for Showtime and Fighthype lol Broner can't help himself.

Nobody will take you serious if you're not getting in done in the Ring and even when you're getting it done in the ring fans will still want you to prove yourself over and over

Its this kind of stuff that makes athletes not want to talk to the media

On one hand, he has a point. None of us have ever won a title, yet most of us have never even won 1 professional fight so who are we to say his accomplishments are nothing?

On the other hand though, AB was groomed and has trained for this his whole life. I seen videos of him boxing as a kid. In that sense, that right there gives us the right to compare him and his accomplishments to everyone else who has put in the work he has throughout his life. Just like we compare other athletes amongst each other in other sports. So with that being said, who has he beat? No one note worthy.

He needs to realize that, were not comparing him to us. We're comparing him to everyone else in his profession. And that's fair game.

Way to put that fool in check. Walk in any boxing gym and tell those guys that titles mean nothing.
