Whats your opinion of him? I've been watching his fights for awhile now on Friday Night Fights, and now HBO and I'm impressed. Hes got good speed and he never stops coming forward. Hes a fun fighter to watch, he seem to always be in good fights. Plus I think its cool hes going to college and boxing at the same time, thats commendable. I'm on the bandwagon as you see by my avatar...lol
he has power behind those punches... but was denied the KO he was looking for againt jose cotto because cotto just took all those shots and stood, damn... he was beaten up... if only miguel had the chin his brother has, then he should really be a threat to the biggest punchers in his division.

You know what I always post that I hate Juan Diaz and Rocky Juarez but Juan Diaz has a new fan.I have seen many of his fights in the past but am growing appreciative of his skill and style. If that ****ing guy had a good punch he would be a huge force and still might be but he seems to lack power.Blazing fast combos were coming one after another tho and it was a pleasure to watch Sat night even tho I bet my buddy I was watching it with because I did not like Diaz I was won over by the end of the fight.
He put up a good show. After a long lay off, he maintained his activity up for 12 rounds. By the way, Diaz got dropped once when he was younger. I remember him winning the fight but he started crying afterwards because he's never been down before.
Diaz gave a good performance on Saturday. I though Jose Cotto would be better.Jose had no head movement Pitta pat punches look really amatuer..and no real desire of winning you could see it in his face. Miguel Cotto would Kill DIAZ in 4rds. Diaz your are welcome to come up to 140 and challenge Jose's younger brother. DIAz Style is perfect for Miguel.
I think I saw him completely dominate a slow moving Mongolian boxer. J. Diaz was busy but couldn't put the guy down, and that guy ate about 300 punches. He's still young so I expect his punches to get stronger.
