Comments Thread For: DeGale-Bute, Alvarez-Chilemba, Beterbiev on Same Bill?

On Tuesday, krikya360.com confirmed the recent rumblings in Canada, regarding a November super middleweight collision between recently crowned IBF champion James DeGale (21-1, 14KOs) and Canadian superstar Lucian Bute (32-2, 25KOs).

Later that day, we reported that a high profile light heavyweight doubleheader was also being targeted for November. That doubleheader would see Isaac Chilemba and Eleider Alvarez battle it out in a WBC final eliminator and a final IBF eliminator between Artur Beterbiev and Sullivan Barrera.

... Is Haymon forcing DeGale to come to Canada for his first defence?... So the guy is really controlling his stable...

Why would he be forcing him? Fight probably makes the most money in Canada and DeGale isn't afraid to travel.

PBC is looking like it wants to go out with a ****.
Keith Thurman - Shawn Porter*is also being discussed, and we already have Daniel Jacobs - Peter Quillin, and a lot more guys that plan on fighting at least 1 more time before the end of the year.

People complain about mismatches (which is understandable), but these guys fight more often now (so they won't always be in tough), and they have to get their schedules in sync before they can face each other. I think they finish the year off strong. Whether you like Haymon or not he definitely forced his competition to step their games up.
