Nah welterweight at the most for him he's too small. It's all water weight anyway, nothing a little roadwork can't fix. He should've been running.

There are more fights (slugfest) at 154.
He could fight Kirkland, Angulo (if he came down) or Margarito.
Any of those would be great, if he wins, move on to a better fight.
If he loses, I'm sure the PBC will feed him to someone before he retires, Maidana gets paid either way.
Even off a lay-off he only fights one way, so they might as well have him fight a brawler too. Someone who boxes would be bad, most likely.
