Lazy worker and multiple dodgy decisions in his favour this is the American effect I'm not saying us Brits don't have it because we do we have terrible world champions like McDonnell and Kelly Brook who we will no doubt in the next 10-20 years tout as the best British boxer.
Mark my word Eubank and Nigel Benn would have likely beat the snot out of Toney.
if toney was average what does that make benn and eubank? he's clearly a lot more accomplished than those guys. and if we are talking about gift decisions what about eubank? he lost to a bunch of average and below average fighters. benn was ko'd twice at middle so toney vs benn at middle doesn't seem like a great match for him. neither of those guys has the resume to match toney's. yeah he had a couple bad performances like against thadzi and tiberi but benn should have lost to malinga twice, eubank should have lost to shommer, ray close, amaral etc...that happens to most fighters it doesn't make them average.

toney has quantity and quality. look at his best wins. jirov was #1 cruiser in the world, nunn was #1 middle, and mcallum was #2(behind toney) then he has other solid guys like barkley, reggie johnson, griffin(bad decisions) etc...

none of the guys eubank beat were top fighters at the point in which he fought them. benn was good at 160 but not elite, rochigiani was good at 168 but not elite, watson was never elite at 160 and most had him beating eubank in the first fight, the second eubank fight was his first at 168.

benn should have a a win over eubank in the rematch so that was great win. mclellan was very dangerous but the benn fight was his first at 168. besides that he beat barkley who was coming off 2 losses but still a very good middle. I had malinga beating both guys so that doesn't really count in my eyes but he's a very good fighter as well.

none of these 3 guys are average but toney is definitely not average when compared to eubank and benn. maybe they could have won head to head but basing it on bad performances isn't fair since they all had bad performances.

Beating canelo was beating a guy who just beat Alfonzo Gomez and josesito Lopez (two 140 pounders at 154) .. Canelos heritage makes him more popular than lacy. That's it. Their accomplishments were the same.

        Explain yourself

Win over A-level Kessler. B-level Eubank, Bhop, Reid, Lacy, & Bika.

What? Do you even know what you're talking about? Hopkins beat Tarver who beat Johnson and Jones. Calzaghe then beat Hopkins.

This isn't even difficult to figure out Larry, come on now.

Why was the Hopkins win B level? bhop showed he was still truly a top level fighter, going on to beat Pascal, Pavlik and Cloud, all champions. If Bhop was B level, then what version did Kovalev fight?
