Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) retired last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He closed the door on his 19-year career after dominating Andre Berto over twelve rounds.

Just about everyone, fighters included, expect Mayweather to return in the next twelve months for at least another fight.

If Mayweather planned a 50th fight, the biggest financial option would be a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather and his company CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, have said there is no possibility of that rematch ever happening.

We need to hear Floyd say it. Because we hear a lot of contradictions, like GGG isn't all that, and Floyd would beat him. Now we are hearing no.

But to be TBE you have to do things you are not supposed to be able to do. Being a underdog is not a reason to not fight someone. Floyd will be underdog but there have been bigger underdogs.

Floyd will not be TBE in any historians eyes. He may make some historians top 20, some historians top 10 maybe. Im sure there is a historian out there who will have Floyd top 5.
Floyd just needs to push that little bit extra to tick another box. Fight outside your country, fight GGG at middleweight. You could have fought Sergio but didn't.
So no excuse that Floyd is 38. BH is doing things Floyd wont dare do and so have other 38 year olds. But its about the zero again, it always comes down to that. Not health. Because you can quit at any point in a fight.

Determining who is the greater fighter is subjective and no way to truly decide. If you ask someone in his 70's, he will say someone like Rocky Marciano, or another fighter that was before my time and I am in my 30's. If you ask anyone near the Phillippines or Asia, they say Manny all day. Really, Floyd never fights above 152 even on fight night when he was in the 154 division. He does not belong there and GGG can fight 3 other 160lb champions or move up to his first division. Floyd has already moved up 5 divisions, that is enough for him. Regarding the cheating comments, the commission already stated that Floyd took vitamins and salt, no steroids and he was even cleared for that. The hating will never stop so I am glad that he retires because he will never get the credit even if he were to beat GGG. You casual fans would just blame him for standing like a robot against the ropes and not allowing himself to be pummeled like a fool. Let's see who can make the money and fame going forward.
