If he lost, people would have finally started giving him credit. Especially as his personality isn't as abrasive as it use to be. He would have become the elder statesman at the end of his career, passing the torch onto the next young champion, as so many greats have done in their careers.
Now he goes out as the fraud who manipulated his opponents, the public, drug testing, and possibly doped. Then left with the most uninspiring performance imaginable, against an opponent hand picked to look good against, and everyone assumed, knock out.
At least in the publics mind.
Its strangely satisfying watching him tarnish his reputation so badly.
