Would be a hell of a promotion if these two get it on because they're both two very lively characters, the build up could be epic in fact. Remember the two epic moments these two already produced:

Tarver in the ring : "Got any excuses tonight, Roy".
Briggs on speedboat : "Where ever you go I go (Wlad)" -Most epic call out in history.

I normally speak out against shot fighters continuing in the sport, but this would be a decent undercard scrap. The build-up alone would be gold.

I look at Briggs & think who was his last good opponent he beat? Liakhovich... Tarver beat Banks in 7 & should have got the nod over Cunningham but still got a draw out of it. Tarver/Briggs would be interesting so I say make it happen...

say what you will about briggs but if he had a fight against a tarver or cunningham people would tune in there is no doubt about it the guy can sell himself.

i do wish he would quit chasing wlad tho and just fight on hbo or pbc. Hell him and tarver could fight and it would be pretty big i dont see why not

Briggs is a true HW and is 2 years younger than Tarver, so a fight between them is feasible. However, Tarver doesn't want Briggs because he's a real HW who's trying to make a comeback too. That's why he's downplaying him.
