Comments Thread For: Rocky Martinez Wants To "Finish Off" Salido In Rematch

NEW YORK – Dropping Orlando Salido twice and Salido’s subsequent point deduction for repeated low blows enabled Rocky Martinez to defeat Salido by comfortable margins on all three scorecards in one of the most entertaining action fights of 2015.

While his championship win was gratifying, Puerto Rico’s Martinez would rather knock out Salido in their scheduled 12-round rematch Sept. 12 on the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Andre Berto undercard at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (Showtime Pay-Per-View; $74.95 in HD). The last thing the 32-year-old Martinez wants is another grueling slugfest with the stubborn Salido that goes the distance.

El Siri has been shot to pieces for good time now. Cant take a punch and fights on pure Grit.

Somehow he sonned Lomachenko while shot!

Rocky is bigger and fresher. it was an unusual gratifying career Siri, last fight please

Siri didn't son anyone. He came in way bigger and continually hot Lom in the balls and the only one who came close to being sonned was when Loma almost took him out. On top of that, it was Lom's second fight as a pro. Next time line up the all the facts of the fight.

Lomachenko fans are so insecure. He lost. That happened. He's still a great fighter, but I am just as impressed with a shot to pieces zero punch resistance vet teaching Loma how to win.

lol some of these dudes are so butthurt.
Salido was like a 7-1 underdog in this fight. Made some good money off this fight. I remember there being some talk that if Loma had beaten Salido, he could have fought Mikey Garcia in the future.
              Can you imagine that fight?!
Dude couldn't even beat Salido. Mikey would've retired the dude in his first 4 or 5 fights.

Dudes get way too emotional on here.

I would outright go with Rocky, but... He has a hard time making 130. He can lose it in the gym, on the scales, or a grueling contest. Salido can still do that, if Martinez is drained.

Mikey would have killed Loma at that point.
