    Singh's first pro fight (10th Oct) - Is it officially over for GGG before it even began?

    Watched a couple of his amateur fights, he can be an exciting pro fighter but I hope he has a good chin because he appears to take a good few punches flush.

        Has there ever been a world champion boxer from India? Not that it couldn't happen but India has never been a source of boxing talent in spite of having a huge population. If GGG is still fighting when and if this guy is a top challenger then I think GGG racks up another KO win over him.

          Don't think there has been. Apparently India staged it's very first pro boxing event in May 2015. But interest in boxing is growing in India. Problem Singh is facing now is that the police force where he's a deputy superintendent is threatening to suspend his police license and effectively fire him if he tries to train in the UK for a year as planned. So he might be forced to either take a risk in the professional ranks of boxing with no defined source of income, or go back to his "stable" police job with regular pay. Bit of phucked up situation all in all.

          As far as GGG, Singh is too raw as a pro to see how good he could be, but he was a good amateur and his style seems more suited to the pros in some ways. Could it be that he'll dethrone GGG in an all-Asian showdown some years from now?

            True, he's got a good style for the pros but he needs to work on his defense and I think he might benefit from being trained by someone like Adam Booth.

                How can you make that assumption considering they've not had any major pro boxers? Amir Khan's not from India either, Asia is made of more than just India.

                  Watched him in the 2012 Olympics after a lot of hype going into it...He was just OK, he did not stand out like Lomachenko, Anthony Joshua, Erroll Spence Jr and some of the other young talent in that Olympic

                  Actually, I thought Terrell Gausha Beat Him!

                  But Pros are different, some guys style are better for Pros than it is for the Amateur/Olympic Competition where it is just a ton of corruption and Gold Medals being purchased LITERALLY! Singh might be even better as a PRO
