Gennady Golovkin vs. David Lemieux

Nothing like a good face-off to build up a fight. On another note, Lemiux's hair stole the show.

I wasn't impressed with the Face-Off episode. That format doesn't work with these two, they're both very respectful and professional. Neither has any motivation to put the other down, that's probably why Sanchez was there in order to have someone say something remotely mean.

What makes this a great fight is that they both have a KILL MODE inside the ring. Still think this ppv would've benefited from Lemieux having 1 or 2 more fights on HBO just to elevate his status.

Lemieux getting some good work from Pascal for this fight. WAR LEMULE!!!

I know Lemieux's been a sparring partner of Pascal in the past (Stevenson as well), but I'm more interested in how his sparring with Derevyanshenko & Khytrov went. Two years from now I expect the biggest fight that can be made at 160 will be Golovkin/Derevyanshenko.

Golovkin is not in "kill mode." He's in "patient slaughter mode."

He's a smart, slow death. Waiting for hammer time.

Lemieux is the "kill mode" guy. And he's going to walk right into it.

Gawd he's wide open to shots when he fights!

So anyway, yes there is some sophistication here. On the GGG side. It transcends "both fighters in kill mode."

You'll see.

I'd be shocked if Lemieux lasts more than 5 rounds

I could see it. Golovkin will be patient and he won't want to spark him out early. I think he wants the let the fight develop then step on the gas.

Only way I see it ending in 5 or less is if Lemieux just absolutely forces Golovkin's hand.

Not really impressed; Pacal did nothing but shell up, no retaliation or anything. Do they believe Golovkin is going to let him strike first constantly and lay on the ropes?

Looks like a 2 minute highlight video in an otherwise univentful session.

Guys. I picked GGG by TKO BUT I am really concerned. Here's why. GGG's defense will have to be better, starting with this fight. He gets hit a little too much for my liking. He is so offensive and that' why. He doesn't care what you throw back at him. He is a very violent fighter in there. LoL. With DL, he will have to be patient or risk getting KO'ed. I think that DL is the biggest puncher he's faced yet. This IS a legacy fight and it will be exciting until the KO happens...and trust me, a KO WILL happen! Any thoughts or concerns about GGG's defense???

I think GGG will play counter puncher the first 4 rounds and let Lemule tire a bit. Lemule has power os very predictable, it's one of the main reason Rosado and N'dam were able to survive the onslaught.

the only thing I worry about is GGG face swollen. I know he hasn't had any major damage done to his face but he just looks like the type that can swell easily if involved in a back and forth fight.
