Comments Thread For: Malignaggi's Coach Confident Garcia Can Be Outboxed

While Paulie Malignaggi is a heavy underdog come this Saturday when he takes on Danny Garcia in his hometown of Brooklyn, at the Barclays Center. Garcia is as high as a 12-1 favorite on many betting sites. Not many boxing insiders have given Malignaggi a chance either.

The odds haven’t deterred his trainer Eric Brown from thinking they can pull off the upset on Saturday.

What big punchers has Paulie out boxed at the elite level? Certainly not Cotto,Hatton,or Porter.

Danny has been outboxed a few times already. Can Paulie do it? If he can't win, can he make Danny sweat for it?

Danny needs to be set and has shows vulnerabilities to guys with good movement. Malignaggi is not the one to get it done, he will get destroyed.

To be fair all three of those guys are better at coming forward than Danny.

The fight is farce though. Malignaggi is completely irrelevant. The only question to be answered is just how bad Danny Garcia is against boxers. Pretty bad, or absolute dogshit?

We all know he can be outboxed at times. Honestly it sucks bcuz that makes for some very boring fights down the road...now everybody Danny fights will try to recreate the Herrera fight, which will only make swift a better fighter overall...dont be surprised if this fights a stinker also

Nothing complicated about this fight. PM is more experienced and has better movement, but lacks power. It remains to be seen whether or not Memo's participation helped in enhancing it. Reason why he was hired in the first place.

DG, otoh, could counter capable of knocking guys out in the middle of an exchange. If PM could take it, then it's a long night for DG. If not, it's bye bye boxing for PM and welcome retirement.
