Considering Kovalev killed someone in the ring do you find him distasteful?

Obviously im not saying he should be blamed for it, but considering it happens, his interviews talking about seriously injuring people etc are in bad taste for me.

Him and Stevenson... jeez 175 is like scumbag central right now

Ward will teach these guys a lesson in humility

    I like it man.

Sick of these kids acting like boxing is a playground. Get in there and fight.

It's like Conor Mcgregor when he's talking about "a fight to the death". I don't hear anyone complaining.

I do think he's an asshole, but him killing somebody is not one of those reasons.

Not like he planned to do it

It'a not a tickling match, but Kovalev does seem to be an angry bloke.

Yeah, a little bit. It's hard to tell when he doesn't speak english, but there's some evidence to suggest he's an ignorant scumbag.

I don't blame him for Simakov's death. He's not responsible for that. But he's responsible for his attitude ever since. It might be unfair, but sometimes you get the impression that if it happened again he wouldn't give a fuck.

He has above average *******ness, but the guy who died was just some bad **** that can happen to anyone who boxers. Its a dangerous sport. I actually think it'd be kinda messed up to dislike a guy for a tragedy like Kovalev was involved in cuz I imagine the intention is pretty much the same each fight, but the results can end up very different like in that particular fight.

I don't think it's anyone's place to say. By all accounts it seems like Kovalev was a mean piece of work before Simakov and it just continued after as normal.

I have no idea what it feels like to be responsible for someone's death, or how it would affect me or anyone else mentally, certain people are gonna react differently.

I agree... Not willing to sign off on Kovalev being this or that. It's a shame someone lost their life but it's a grim reminder of what the sport of boxing has at it's gritty core. Danger and risk.

Kovalev wouldn't exactly get far in this sport if he was beating himself up about a past tragedy. You say your piece, gain your repentance, and keep things moving. Just because he doesn't act remorseful now, doesn't mean he didn't at some point.
