Comments Thread For: Khan Reacts: I Don't Want To Give Mosley a Beating!

Amir Khan has brushed off a recent challenge that came from former three division champion 'Sugar' Shane Mosley.

Mosley, 43-years-old, took to the social networks to call Khan out - after the British star lost out on the opportunity to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mosley is coming back on August 29th in a rematch with Ricardo Mayorga. That fight will happen at a catch-weight of 157-pounds.

Fair play Khan.. You're clearly not a sleazy cherry picker like Floyd..

In the dictionary, under "True Warrior" all it says is "Amir Khan".

Yeah, that was sad to see Mosley go out like that but he said he had some problem with his hip in that fight. Maybe that's a sign of ageing in itself.

But I don't mind older fighters fighting each other. Mosley vs Mayorga is fine by me, they're both past their prime. For some boxers, boxing is the only thing they know in terms of career and earning potential. I think it's only fair to them to allow them to fight if they so choose.

On the one hand, you might say we're not letting them fight to preserve their health etc.. On the other hand, if he's not fighting, that boxer is going to probably get unhealthy, fat and probably be unhappy, depressed that he's not allowed to fight anymore. And also he might financially suffer as a result.

Fair play in knowing Mosley still posses some punching power that could exploit that weak chin.

Yeah, that fight would make no sense. Actually something I can agree with Khan on.

Whatever it is Hunter is telling this boy he should stop. He's going to get Khan seriously hurt if he's got him thinking that his skills are good enough to even be in the ring against Shane. At 43 Khan doesn't get past the 5th round against Shane. ...

Sure, just like Mosley was able to exploit Mundine's weak chin. A man who's been knocked out by Garth Wood (47% KO ratio with 8 KOs), and who was knocked down multiple times by 50% KO ratio Clottey..

Not to mention Mosley hasn't knocked anyone out for 6 years.

Mundine was also knocked out cold by Sven Ottke (18% ko ratio)

But yeah even though a WEIGHT DRAINED version of him took mosleys best shots, he'd chin khan
